On February 25th, 1964, Muhammad Ali was a 7–1 underdog when he stepped into the ring with the intimidating Heavyweight Champion, Sonny Liston. In the seventh round of the fight, Ali was in the middle of the ring with his arms raised, dancing the jig that would become known as the “Ali Shuffle”, while Liston failed to answer the bell. Ali was declared the winner by technical knockout, and he went on to say “Look at me. Not a mark on me. I could never be an underdog. I am too great. Hail the champion!”
